Itinerary Detail

Our driver guide will pick you from Kampala for a transfer to Lake Bunyonyi- the second deepest lake in Africa and an awesome relaxation spot with nice scenery and plenty of activities to do.

Make a stopover at CTC conservation center just outside Mpigi. Established in 2015, this wildlife sanctuary is dedicated to conserving various animal species, playing a significant role in reviving wildlife populations affected by past conflicts, poaching, and habitat encroachment.

Get a chance to get up close with tamed lions, antelopes among other wild animals in the sanctuary. Proceed to Lake Bunyonyi- check in at Bunyonyi Eco resort for dinner and overnight stay.

Early morning breakfast, prepare for a fun-filled day on the lake with plenty of activities to do including swimming, island hopping canoeing or sunbathing- the choice is yours. After a hearty lunch, prepare to check out of Bunyonyi eco resort for a transfer to Rushaga region in Bwindi national park- home of the incredible mountain gorillas. After an early morning breakfast, prepare for transfer to park headquarters for a briefing about the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking in Bwindi National Park. Start your trek under the guidance of the UWA guides in search of the mountain gorilla family.

The trek my last about 4 to 5 hours depending on the location of the gorillas on that particular day. You will only have one hour in their midst to take pictures and observe them up close in their natural habitat.

After the gorilla encounter, leave the gorillas and go enjoy your packed lunch in the wild before trekking to a pickup point where our driver will be waiting to transfer you back to Rushaga Lodge. Freshen up and relax or go for a nature walk and visit to the Batwa pygmy community. Dinner and overnight stay at Rushaga Lodge.
